With Finals week coming this marks the end of the Highschool experience for GHS Seniors. With the end of high school comes a mixed bag of emotions. While some greatly enjoy the fact that school is ending some feel a little more emotional that they are leaving. Do seniors that say they hated Granada actually hate it? Or can we expect them to be crying at Graduation? Can what Seniors say tell us a picture of if they actually do hate it.
I’m gonna be asking If Seniors actually liked Highschool and then im gonna ask why to see what answers they give me.
Granada Senior Natalie Nyugen states “I did not like Granada that much all i want to do is leave… I dont know i just hate the people, It just feels like i always have to be putting up with people and I just want to be in a place where I don’t have to worry about all of that”
While some others are much different.
Granada Senior Daniel Miller states “I did not like it here… I can’t really stick out one thing that made it bad. All I’m saying is that I feel like I could have learned much more than we did in the amount of time that we were in school.”
While many feel discontent for many reasons there are a plethora more students who enjoyed their time at high school.
Granada Senior Chris Ng States. I’m not gonna lie, I had fun during high school. I feel like it wasn’t a waste of time. I met most of my friends here. I’m not gonna say it was bad in any way.”
The people that hated high school had very valid reasons for why they felt that way. The catch is that people would feel that way about any school. Students always like to complain buying into the “the grass is greener” analogy when these are just problems that are present in all high schools. The school does not matter; it’s the experience of high school that wasn’t pleasing.Â
