On Wednesday, February 25, 2026, Granada High School hosted its annual Career Fair, where students and industry professionals came together during school hours, between 8:30 AM and 12:30 PM. The event provided students with the opportunity to explore different career paths, while also allowing for early planning in their future after high school. The fair took place in the school’s gymnasium, where the walls and the inner area were filled with booths and stands for students to approach.
Throughout the day, students met with representatives from a variety of fields and professions, including public service, local businesses, trades, and healthcare. Students engaged directly with the representatives, inquiring about responsibilities, salary, daily life, education required, and even personal stories shared within each profession. Many representatives shared insight into how they began their career, providing practical advice, the positives and negatives to students. Alongside normal pamphlets of information, internships and programs were also highlighted for students, providing them with a clear understanding of how to gain experience and exposure before entering the workforce.
The fair highlighted that alongside traditional four year college, students learned about trade schools, certifications, and apprenticeships. For students, the event introduced fields that they have not considered prior to the event and for others it has reinforced their interest that they have had, and gave them clarification moving forward.
By the end of the morning, many students left with brochures, complimentary items, and a new sense of direction. Overall, the 2025 Career Fair has fostered an environment of curiosity and preparation. Granada High School continues to support their students as they begin to think seriously about their goals and the possibilities available to them after high school
