This week’s artist of the week is Joshua Stevens. He is an art student here at GHS. This interview was done in the 2023-2024 school year.
Does art have a purpose?
¨Yes because art should be appreciated because of its diversity in society .¨
What does success in art mean to you?
¨If I was to complete it and make it look good and express myself.¨
What is a real artist?
“The Artist may interpret a piece of art differently than the audience interprets it .”
Do you use your talent wisely?
“Yes, I try to use it to the best of my abilities .”
What does it mean to create art for art’s sake?
“I think an artist should create art for art’s sake so they can convey the message to the audience.”
What is it that made you interested in art?
“My mom took me to an art museum at a young age and that sparked my interest ”
Advice for freshmen interested in art?
“If art interests you then you should explore it. It helps to unlock the creative side. of a person. ”
