Thanksgiving break is right around the corner and if you haven’t made your plans for the break yet, you are sure to find something from this list that is perfect for you.

This is one of the most beautiful towns in California and it’s the only one on the coast that is named as a historical landmark. Its streets are lined with tall Victorian buildings and saltbox cottages that are between nice dining restaurants, cafes, art galleries and boutiques. The MacCallum House and the Little River Inn are among many other places that serve Thanksgiving dinner in that area.

Yosemite National Park

November is a perfect time to visit Yosemite because, while it is often filled with crowds, fall is a great time to visit without bumping into anyone. It’s a great place to enjoy nice waterfalls and steep granite cliffs. This Thanksgiving, Ahwahnee Hotel is serving a big feast with traditional favorites in its Grand Dining Room.

Catalina Island

This is a great weekend getaway for any time of the year, but Thanksgiving is an extra special time. The weather during this time still feels like summer and it isn’t very crowded. There are many traditional Thanksgiving activities, as well as snorkeling, biking, hiking, fishing, sailing, kayaking and golfing.

Joshua Tree National Park

Late fall is the perfect time to visit Joshua Tree National Park. It is filled with many plants that are native to the region. Anyone who loves hiking is sure to love this place and instead of going out for a meal you can set up a tent and cook your meal over an open fire at the Hidden Valley Campground.

Lake Tahoe

This is a popular destination year-round and ski season is starting soon in mid-November. After playing in all that snow, you can take a break and go to one of the many restaurants and resorts that serve Thanksgiving dinner. A great place to go for your dinner and accommodations is Granlibakken Tahoe, an upscale lodge on the northwest shore.

San Diego

This is a great place to enjoy sunny weather along with beaches, world-renowned attractions and more. You can enjoy breathtaking water views, a lavish spa with signature ocean-inspired treatments, and give into a Thanksgiving buffet prepared by expert chefs all at the historic Hotel del Coronado.
