The “Harry Potter” franchise is one of the most popular teenage movie and book series. Despite the fact the movies came out in the early 2000s, and the books even earlier than that, they are still widely talked about throughout the world. This week, the cast, crew, and fans mourn the loss of Robbie Coltrane, who played Hagrid in the movies.

Rubeus Hagrid is a half-giant, half-human in the Harry Potter series. He is the gamekeeper, and the Keeper of Keys and Grounds. He is known as kind-hearted and as a person who cries very easily. He appears in all eight movies. Hagrid quickly became a fan favorite when the movies were released. The man who plays Hagrid, Robbie Coltrane, also became very popular. Unfortunately, on October 14, 2022, Coltrane died at age 72.

According to “The New York Times,” Coltrane died in a hospital. Although his family has not released the cause of death, they did said Coltrane was “unwell for some time.” An article written by “Express” states, “In the lead up to his death, Coltrane was bound to a wheelchair due to ‘constant pain.'” Tributes from Coltrane’s castmates, fans, and family have been flooding the internet. Daniel Radcliffe wrote a heartfelt paragraph on Instagram, followed by touching videos of Coltrane. Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have also put out statements, expressing their love and gratitude for their co-star. Coltrane will be missed dearly by fans and friends.
