This week’s artist of the week is Ari Reyes. She is an art student here at GHS. This interview was done in the 1 trimester of the 2023-2024 school year.
Are there themes you want to pursue in art?
¨I want to do personal pieces . I like to do art when I am emotional or passionate about something.¨
Should art be funded?
¨I think art should be funded to help students interested in art because some students may shine in art but not as much academically.¨
Does art contribute to your emotions?
¨Depending how I am feeling it helps me portray my emotions.¨
What’s your personal goal in art?
¨My personal goal is to get better at painting¨
What is your favorite painting from childhood ?
¨My best piece is from Art 1 one of my favorite combination singers at the time. I used a combination of colored pencils, markers, and paint.¨
