Stampede Bar and Grill, the newest addition to downtown Livermores’ food and entertainment lineup, has been a huge hit since its doors opened on August 16, 2025. The country western themed restaurant has menus with a variety of lunch and dinner options such as tri-tip, sandwiches, burgers, soups, salads, appetizers, and more. Open from 11:30 AM until 2:00 AM most days, they also have a broad selection of alcoholic (and non-alcoholic) beverages for their customers to choose from.
Stampede is a family owned business. The Hill family were all born and raised in Livermore and attended either Granada or Livermore high school. Their goal is “to create a place where friends can gather, socialize, and spend quality time together eating, drinking, dancing, and creating lasting memories.”
The Grill has a wide range of entertainment based on the day of the week. Their main focus is line dancing, but they also have comedy, karaoke, trivia, and singo (music bingo) on Thursdays. Although most days don’t allow kids under 18, Wednesdays are their weekly all age nights where everyone from little kids to grandparents are welcome to join in on the fun!
On Sunday, August 31, the new Bar and Grill held their very first Teen Night from 8-12 AM for ages 16-20. There was music from artists like Pitbull to Shania Twain, line dancing to classics like “A Bar Tipsy” and other “oldies but goodies that everyone loves,” contests and prizes, mocktails, and one heck of a turnout! According to Robin Hill, Teen Night was an “opportunity for the youth of Livermore and surrounding communities to come together to enjoy line dancing and socializing in a safe environment,” and it went better than they could’ve hoped. “It was a packed house,” said Hill, “and everyone was so well behaved.”
Stampede was full of GHS and LHS students all ready for a good time. According to two of Granada’s juniors who attended the event, Addison Cheney reported loving “the dancing, the atmosphere, and the food and drinks,” rating her mac & cheese balls a solid 10/10. Scarlett Silz added that she “had about four virgin strawberry daiquiris and two blue slushies.”
The only thing the girls claimed would have improved their night is if they could’ve learned more line dances. Cheney stated that the staff “taught about four or five of the easier dances, but the majority of the night was “if you know, then you know,” which made it difficult for people who didn’t to join in and keep up.”
Even so, both agreed that the night was a blast and are hopeful Stampede will hold another Teen Night soon. Silz voiced, “there’s no way to express how much I want another Teen Night. I was line dancing the entire time, and when I wasn’t, I was at the bar. My friends and I want another one as soon as possible.”
When asked if they’ll be holding another event like this in the future, the Stampede family said “we will be doing them again when there’s a long weekend and we can host it on a Sunday or Monday night.” There are also rumors of other events planned for winter and spring break, but nothing has been set in stone yet. However, this can only happen with support of the community, so be sure to check out Stampede Bar and Grill for a nice taste of country twang and friends & family fun!
