On Wednesday, September 10, 2025, during lunch, students in their clubs started preparing their tables in the quad to receive interested students and provide snacks and sweets for them while faculty and staff ensured smooth operation. From 12:26 PM to 12:56 PM, students filled the center of the campus in order to explore the clubs Granada students have to offer. From clubs providing opportunities outside of school that aid academically to clubs that allow students to express themselves, Granada has more than 30 clubs on campus that meet on a weekly schedule by a Student Club President and overseen by a Teacher Advisor.

The Club Rush was filled with activities and many students eagerly checked out the clubs that stood out to them. Most of the student population participated, with interactive demos, colorful displays, descriptive fliers, and friendly club members manning the tables and welcoming intrigued students in order to provide information on the purpose of their club. As students moved by clubs one by one to check out what was being displayed, music was playing, creating a very upbeat atmosphere that amplified the overall feeling of the event.
Club President of AI Club, Aditya Singampalli (12), expressed how he felt about the experience.
“How enthusiastic [the event was], especially the underclassmen are about Artificial Intelligence, you know how AI is getting more and more integrated with our lives, people are gaining more interest in the subject and they’re more willing to do these kind of activities, so I’m really excited to see all these people from Club Rush to be at our first meeting next Monday,” said Singampalli.
Fellow club member, Itai Ratzkoff (12) also added thoughts about the event.
“I think my favorite moment was how Club Rush kind of gathered everyone, and exposed our club to a lot of underclassmen, like Aditya Singampalli said, which is really hard to do without events like [Club Rush] because it is hard to motivate people to come to our club when they don’t know what it is about or who is running it. I feel like Club Rush really allowed us to expose ourselves to a good majority of students,” said Ratzkoff.
One of the most popular and long-standing clubs on Granada, Hip Hop Club, had positive responses as well.
Roopkatha Ghosh (12), the Treasurer of Hip Hop Club spoke about the rush.
“Hip Hop Club is kind of like a Family, so we know each other and support each other to be better, I love dancing with my friends and family there. It was very fun [Club Rush], seeing new faces and seeing how many people were interested in supporting the club,” said Ghosh.
Hip Hop Club member, Head Choreographer, Sophia Han (12) said, “I felt very excited seeing new faces, and people signing up, it felt very fulfilling and a positive experience. Very energetic, there was a lot of people walking around, and talking, and laughing, and interacting, it felt like I was interacting with a lot of people.”
This club showcase not only provided opportunities for students but also highlighted the school’s dynamic and diverse student life. This event continues to strengthen Granada’s values of community and connection. With a strong turnout and enthusiasm shown at the Club Rush, it gives a promising start to the school year.

For students who unfortunately were unable to attend the Club Rush and sign up for clubs they are interested in, do not worry as there is a list provided by the Granada High School Website showing all the active clubs that are on campus this year in the Club tab in the Student Life section. (The current list has some inaccuracies regarding which clubs are open). If any student who wishes to create a club, or join an already existing club, visit the Granada Highschool website Student Life section, press club, and following all the requirements listed.
