Throughout this and last week, the temperatures were reaching to the mid 70’s to low and mid 80’s. Not only were these temperatures annoying to deal with, it can also be a hazard for some parts of the state.
For the weeks that come, the National Weather Station put out an informational statement about the following weeks. That there’s a fair chance of there being 90 degrees or higher weather in Livermore later in the following week.
So what does this mean in terms of what can happen. Obviously, it’s going to be hot, so make sure to wear some sunscreen. But there can be a fair chance of fires to be started in the Tri-Valley. Especially due to the increase of stronger wind in the earlier mornings. Giving there a chance to spark up a couple bush and or grass fires.
There was a Red Flag Warning that was announced across the Sacramento Valley and basically throughout the East Bay. Caused due to the stronger winds reaching 25mph.
Mixing up the two can be a hazard for some parts of the Valley. Alongside this, there was recently a large cloud of smoke that was stirring up on the eastbound of 580. Officials say that it could’ve been caused by a bush fire sparking up. Heavy smoke was spotted and caused the speed of traffic to be slowed down.
On the Watch Duty App it was announced that the fire spreaded out an acre but was fortunately contained earlier on Monday the 19th.
There is still news and information to be released from the Alameda County Fire- Department and The Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department.
Taking all of this into consideration, it’s suggested to watch out for the warmer weather to be coming out. Although for this and next week it should stay warm to cool weather. More information is still yet to be put out for the warnings.
Make sure to keep yourself hydrated throughout the later weeks. Especially keep yourself protected from the heat.
