The Livermore Police Department has launched a new, more informative website that features the crime and statistics in Livermore. The website has interactive crime maps, information regarding recent arrests, tracks stolen vehicles, offers customized alerts, and other helpful features. This allows our community to have easier access to information about recent arrests and crime activity in Livermore.
The website includes many different ways for the people of Livermore to gain better transparency such as:
- Interactive crime maps that have clear markers based on the crime committed
- Stolen vehicle tracking
- Information involving the most recent arrests
- Updates and the latest news from LPD
- People are able to request patrol checks for your property while vacated; on vacation, business trips, etc.
- Security camera registration is available
- Customized alerts can be sent daily or weekly and are tailored to your personal preferences
Anyone who was signed up for the old system will need to sign up for the new system if they wish to have these applications available to them.
While in the website you can select the type of crime you would like to gain access to more information about. The various options include: arson, assault, auto burglary, bribery, burglary, commercial burglary, counterfeiting/forgery, disorderly conduct, driving under influence, drug/narcotics, embezzlement, extortion/blackmail, family offenses, nonviolent, fraud, gambling, homicide, injury accidents, kidnapping, liquor law violations, manslaughter, narcotic offenses, pornography/obscene material, prostitution, residential burglary, robbery, sex offenses, forcible, sex offenses, non forcible, stolen property, stolen vehicle, theft, trespass of real property, vandalism, and weapon law violations.
There you can also select the activity types you want access to including: aggravated assaults, arson, collision injury, collision non-injury, commercial burglary, driving under influence, homicide, narcotic offenses, residential burglary, robbery, stolen vehicles, and thefts from vehicles.
You can also search for specific locations and it will allow you to see what crimes have recently been committed in that area. While on vacations, business trips, etc. you want to be able to relax and enjoy it as much as you can while away from home. However, leaving your property unattended can be incredibly stressful for some people, which is why this unique feature of being able to have your home checked by the Livermore Police is valuable and useful.
