The United States Federal Bureau of Investigation is currently receiving applications for their Teen Academy program in San Francisco, where FBI staff including special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff, lead discussions that will focus on the kind of work they do, how they do it, and, most importantly, why they choose this work to serve all Americans.
This program will allow students to investigate the world of law enforcement, explore forensic science, widen their knowledge during age-appropriate lessons on topics like sextortion, and teach students how to stay safe. The application deadline for the academy is October 6, 2024, and students who are juniors or seniors in the 2024-2025 school year are eligible for application. Their selection process is competitive, and each student wanting to apply should put in their best effort to complete their application.
A selection committee will evaluate each application based on a review of the information provided. No factors (GPA, school/community service, or essay) are disqualifying. Throughout the application process, students are expected to advocate for themselves. You can ask further questions about the application, get more information about the program if necessary, and apply for the program by visiting their website, www.fbi.gov/contact-us/field-offices/sanfrancisco/community-outreach. This year’s program will be held on November 8, 2024, at the USS Hornet, 707 W Hornet Ave, Alameda, CA 94501. The academy will commence at 8 am and end at 4 pm. Â
