The GHS Economics Club teaches its members skills and advice relating to money that is useful in life. It was created for students interested in learning about the economy, finance, and money-related skills to help them in life. Students of Granada interested in the economy and monetary skills should think about joining the club. The club is also very relaxing and informative.
Currently, President Ziad Mohammed leads the club after its founding almost a year ago.
The club’s goal is to teach members useful life skills relating to finance such as how to open a bank account, the workforce, and how to manage money.
The point of the club is, as Secretary Sarva Kumar puts it, “[To] educate students interested in finance and real-life skills.”
With slideshows and humor, the GHS Economics Club creates a fun yet informative atmosphere that anyone can find enjoyable. The meetings consist of sitting down and listening to a speaker present a slideshow on a topic ranging from compound interest to communism. On occasion, there is a guest speaker.
About the presentations, club member, Glenn Lee said, “The presentations are humorous and fun.”
Anyone interested in learning important life skills related to money, learning about the economy, or finding a fun activity during lunch should join the GHS Economics Club. The club meets every Thursday during lunch in room 201.
