Q: What was the competition that you won?
A: It was the hyphen hack-a-thon at San Francisco
Q: How did you find out about it?
A: I found out about it online, like scrolling through social media. It seemed like an interesting opportunity so I took it.
Q: How did you get into programming?
A: I was inspired in elementary school, I took like a small computer coding program at Las Positas. I didn’t really understand it at the time but in middle school, I started learning several different languages and that’s when I started getting more interested.
Q: What was your favourite part of the competition?
A: The fact that I can see friends that I haven’t seen since summer
Q: What was the most difficult part?
A: I think the most difficult part was just getting everyone a job and making sure we work effectively together
Q: What did your program do?
A: So, basically, you would enter the website, you would make an account, log in with that account and in the end there’s kind of like this google doc of just art you can place like a square anywhere on the document and it’s linked to a server so everyone sees the same document and you can just draw things
