Sparkling water is a beloved beverage worldwide. Love it or hate it, sparkling water has become a staple drink, even becoming more popular than some sodas. But there are so many different flavors and brands to choose from, so which one is the best?
6. Culture Pop
Culture pop earns last place on this list. The drink was not especially bad, but it definitely does not rank higher than anything else on this list. The can claims that the drink is “fizzy juicy zesty lively gusty” which held true, Culture Pop was easily the strongest of the waters, both in terms of flavor and being extremely fizzy. However, these traits definitely held the drink back as it made the beverage less refreshing, while more flavorful. It almost felt like drinking medicine that you don’t hate, it’s not gross, but I would never choose to drink it myself.
5. Spindrift
Spindrift, like Culture Pop, just did not stand out. It may be low on this list, but it certainly was not bad. The flavor was good, but not exceptional. The fizz was there, but nothing to write home about. I will note that Spindrift has a pretty wide variety of flavors to choose from, and none of them are bad.
4. La Croix
La Croix was pretty good, but that’s as far as it gets. Not exceptional, but good enough that I can understand how it’s become so popular. The drink was refreshing and flavorful. La Croix has a near-perfect amount of fizz without being overwhelming. Similarly to Spindrift, La Croix probably has the widest variety of flavors to choose from. All of these culminate to make the drink a solid 7/10, but nothing that can compare to the top 3.
3. Waterloo
Waterloo is a long-time favorite of mine. The fizz of Waterloo is stronger than in some others, but it is not overwhelming. Waterloo has a few different flavors, but not an amount that compares to the likes of La Croix. Similarly to Spindrift, Waterloo is nothing crazy, but the quality of the beverage overall is far better.
2. Liquid Death
Liquid Death has a lot going for it. Firstly, Liquid Death has the biggest cans. With 19.2 oz cans, you always feel satisfied by the end. The drink is definitely fizzy enough to be sparkling water, but honestly, the fizz felt a little bit dull. However what
truly helped this drink shine was how refreshing it was. From the first sip after opening my first can, I knew this was one of the best. Liquid Death truly does live up to its slogan, “Murder Your Thirst”. There was only one thing that held Liquid Death back from the top spot on this list, and that was the price. Liquid Death was easily the most expensive on the list, with some cans costing $5 alone. However, do not let the price tag dissuade you, Liquid Death was certainly very good, just not as good as the number one spot.
1. Bubly
Bubly was my absolute standout favorite. The beverage was refreshing and flavorful. I felt the fizz prominently, but it was not uncomfortable. Everything I said about Liquid Death I could say again about Bubly, and for a much lower price. If anyone decides to try sparkling water for the first time, Bubly is what you tell them about.
